CalFresh

Free CalFresh Application Assistance

St. Louise Resource Services (StLRS) is committed to providing quality and compassionate service to individuals and families that need assistance. Our priority is helping people access available programs and providing compassionate service to the community.

StLRS assists with CalFresh applications, case management, advocacy, and renewals.

What is CalFresh?

CalFresh is also known as Food Stamps, EBT, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

CalFresh provides monthly food benefits to qualifying individuals and families so they can purchase nutritious foods. It helps stretch your monthly food budget, thus allowing you to afford necessary food, including fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods.

Recipients of CalFresh benefits receive their funds through an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. You may use this card to buy your monthly groceries.

Public Charge

There is a large amount of stigma and fear surrounding social programs, such as CalFresh. For many individuals and families, there is a fear of being considered a Public Charge for receiving aid, which would affect them negatively if they decide to pursue citizenship.

StLRS recognizes the language, legal, and cultural barriers in place that make it difficult for people to access these benefits. We are committed to aiding everyone who needs assistance accessing these services and programs.

We are here to assure you that you will NOT be considered a public charge for receiving benefits like CalFresh or Medi-Cal.

For any additional concerns or doubts, call us at (844) 245-1900.
