May is CalFresh Awareness Month, and St. Louise Resource Services (StLRS) is proud to be part of the statewide effort to spread the word about CalFresh, California’s food benefits program.
This year’s theme, “CalFresh for All,” highlights the importance of making nutritious food accessible to everyone — including seniors, students, working families, and people who have never needed help before. No one should have to go hungry, and with CalFresh, help is available.
CalFresh provides monthly grocery benefits to individuals and families who qualify. These benefits help people buy fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, meat, pantry staples, and more at participating grocery stores and farmers markets. It’s a vital resource — and one that too many eligible households aren’t yet using.
At StLRS, we know that navigating the application process can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve never applied before or face language, documentation, or technology barriers. That’s where we come in.
Our team offers free, bilingual assistance to help you apply, renew, or recertify your CalFresh benefits with dignity and care. Whether you have questions about eligibility or just want to learn more, we’re here to walk you through the process step by step.
