The Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) is urging all EBT cardholders to be cautious of a **third-party mobile application** called **“Ebt edge – food stamps”**, currently available in the Apple iOS App Store.

This app is **not the official app** and is designed to look like the State of California’s official **FIS ebtEDGE Mobile App**. However, the fake app **charges users $4.99 per week or $60 for lifetime access**.

### What You Need to Know

✅ The **official ebtEDGE app** is completely **free to use**.

❌ DPSS will **never charge** cardholders a fee to use the official app.

🚫 Do **not** download or use the **Ebt edge – food stamps** app.

### What to Do if You Suspect Theft

Any EBT cardholder who suspects they may have been a victim of benefits theft should immediately contact their **local county social services office**.

Cardholders can also call the **EBT Customer Service Line at (877) 328-9677** to cancel their EBT card and request a new one.

### How to Stay Safe

Always download the **official ebtEDGE app** directly from your mobile app store by scanning the QR codes provided by DPSS or searching for **“ebtEDGE” by FIS**.
