The Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) is urging all EBT cardholders to be cautious of a third-party mobile application called “Ebt edge – food stamps”, currently available in the Apple iOS App Store.

This app is not the official app and is designed to look like the State of California’s official FIS ebtEDGE Mobile App. However, the fake app charges users $4.99 per week or $60 for lifetime access.

What You Need to Know

✅ The official ebtEDGE app is completely free to use.

❌ DPSS will never charge cardholders a fee to use the official app.

🚫 Do not download or use the Ebt edge – food stamps app.

What to Do if You Suspect Theft

Any EBT cardholder who suspects they may have been a victim of benefits theft should immediately contact their local county social services office.

Cardholders can also call the EBT Customer Service Line at (877) 328-9677 to cancel their EBT card and request a new one.

How to Stay Safe

Always download the official ebtEDGE app directly from your mobile app store by scanning the QR codes provided by DPSS or searching for “ebtEDGE” by FIS.
