COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Ends 2023
Based on current COVID-19 trends, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has declared that the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) will be terminated on May 11, 2023.
What does this mean?
Since March 2020, the U.S. government implemented plans and emergency assistance to support individuals and families affected by the pandemic. For the past couple of years, certain flexibilities were set in place to ensure that the public had access to health care and nutritional benefits.
For example, the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services temporarily waived certain requirements in response to COVID-19. This allowed beneficiaries to keep their health coverage during the pandemic. However, this will change with the end of PHE.
Now that COVID-19 emergency declarations will be removed, this may affect your health insurance and CalFresh benefits.

Según las tendencias actuales de COVID-19, el Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos de EE. UU. ha declarado que la emergencia de salud pública de COVID-19 finalizará el 11 de mayo de 2023.
¿Qué significa esto?
